The Knights of Columbus has remained active during the COVID-19 crisis, just as our forefathers kept the order alive and busy during pandemics and wars of their generation. We couldn’t achieve any of this without the support of our community. At the beginning of the pandemic, we held a food drive that brought four times the typical number of food boxes that the United Food Bank gets at similar campaigns. We hosted more Blood Drives during the pandemic and brought in more donors than in previous years. All these accomplishments couldn’t have been done without the support of our parish community and our brothers working together to show acts of charity.
On April 18, 2021, with Father Robert’s blessing, our parish council held our pancake breakfast in Hennessy Hall. We served 131 breakfasts, all profits going to continue our mission of charity. Our Worthy Grand Knight, Dan Blomberg, addressed our community to thank them for all the aforementioned achievements that we accomplished during the pandemic with their help and support.
We have one more breakfast before we take the summer off. The Knights of Columbus at St. Andrew the Apostle are excited to provide great food after the 7:00 am and 10:00 am masses! Our Pancake Breakfasts remain a donation-only event, so we ask for your generosity when you pick up your food to help with the cost and help us support our parish and community.
